Join LAD today!

The Laboratory Astrophysics Division (LAD) is a multi-disciplinary division that encompasses experimental and theoretical research, and related observational astronomy and planetary science, with the objective of advancing our understanding of the fundamental processes that drive the Universe.

  • Members of the Laboratory Astrophysics Division (LAD) are part of a diverse and vibrant community of scientists who are a voice for laboratory astrophysics and its relevance for the many sub-fields represented in the AAS.
  • By joining LAD you become an active member of a growing network of experimentalists, theorists and observers who advocate for the critical importance of experimental astrophysics in informing our understanding of the universe.
  • We welcome all researchers and students from any field who are interested in learning more about LAD to explore our website, contact any of its executive officers with questions (see “About LAD, Leadership”), come meet us at our sessions at AAS meetings, and join our community!
